First, some random tidbits of information:
- My book has a release date! Mark your calendars for January 8th, 2019. (Yep, a year and a half away. Not that I’m counting or anything.)
- You can add my book on Goodreads! It’s getting real folks.
- There’s a Q&A author interview with me on the Swoon Reads blog. Just ignore how awkward I am in the video …
- I’ve updated the ways you can subscribe. Now you can subscribe to blog posts, discounts and freebies, or information on author events and book releases. You can pick and choose what information you want to receive. Win-win! And no, I won’t tell you how long it took me to figure out how to do that … #embarrassing
Okay, now onto my quick recap of Storymakers conference! This year I went out of my comfort zone and helped plan the Mix and Mingle with these ladies:
Of course, no Storymakers would be complete without saying hello to one of my favorite authors, Janette Rallison.
I really didn’t take a whole lot of pictures this year. I guess I was too busy soaking up all the awesomeness. *Shrugs*
One of my favorite classes this year was Sarah M. Eden’s class on the Seven Point Plot Structure for romances. You can even see her power point and download her worksheet.
By far, my favorite moment of the conference was listening to Jennifer Nielsen‘s keynote speech. I wish I had a transcript of it, or a video so that I could rewatch it whenever need motivation or I’m feeling discouraged. I could paraphrase bits and pieces, but really, it would lack the power and emotional connection of her speech. It was amazing!
Okay, now, I need to retreat back into my editing cave. I have a lot of work to do … *whimpers*
If you don’t hear from me for a few months, send help. Or chocolate.
