So, I needed a break from editing (It’s pretty much all I’ve been doing, non-stop for the last couple of months…) and started looking at fun things online. Now I’m going to share them with you because I’m nice like that.
These are all random things I think would make any book-lover/writer/author super happy to receive as a gift. Men or women, because we don’t discriminate around here.
1. First up, I give you the Keyboard Waffle Iron!
I need this in my life.
2. Next, the Kate Spade “She Wrote the Book on it” Notepad Folio:
Okay, I need this too. I mean, how cute is that? And for the writer who needs to jot stuff down on the go, it doesn’t get much better than this. This is probably my favorite thing on this entire list.
Lest you think I’m forgetting the men on my list – this is sure to be a hit at their next dressy occasion.
Because writers can never have enough notebooks.
5. Library Card Mirror Compact
Just because it’s cool.
How can I convince my husband to wear this?
Okay hear me out. This one might seem like a strange addition to the list, but every writer has like a gazillion books. And because we love books, we also like to loan them out to friends. I’d love something like this that lets me stamp my name in the book, thus ensuring people would give it back to me. It’s much better than defacing it by writing our names with pen (as my husband suggested when I told him I needed one of these).
For all our writerly pens and such.
Pretty self-explanatory on this one.
10. Book Clock
Not everything on this list is incredibly useful, (waffle iron?), but this would look pretty cool in any writer’s room. I’m just saying.
11. Composition Notebook Pencil Holder
There are so many cool things that are designed to look like a composition notebook. Writers would probably love any of them. I have a composition notebook laptop decal sticker thingy, and it’s one of my favorite things. Because I’m nerdy like that. For example, here’s another composition notebook gift idea:
12. Hot Chocolate Notebook Flats
If you happen to know their shoe size, these are amazing. They’ve been on my wish list for a looong time.
Another thing that’s been on my list forever. A little pricey, but soooo cool. You’d have to know what size computer they have.
14. This Shark Bite Pencil Bag
I think they intended it for kids, but let’s be honest, it’s the most adorable thing ever and I would totally use it as an adult.
Because we always have something to say.
16. Last but not least, this Kate Spade Newsprint Tote
Because we carry a lot of books. And because it’s cute.
If you’re still at a loss for gift ideas, you can pretty much never go wrong with something Harry Potter themed. Most of us are fans (but hey, I have met ONE writer who still hadn’t read them …). Or notebooks. We like notebooks. And books. We can never have enough books (or Amazon gift card to *buy* books, amiright? You might think it feels impersonal, but trust me, WE LOVE IT). And cool pens. And you could always pay for a couple months of their favorite music streaming service – most writers I know write with music going on in the background.
And, and, and there’s so many things I need to stop now.
I’d better get back to editing. But hey, that was fun.
Yes! This is the best. I need every single one of these items 🙂
Right? Ha ha. Seriously though. Any of these things would make my day.
All super cute items! I wanted to buy some library card coasters at my local bookstore, but they were kinda pricey. You only got 3, and they were $18.99. Ouch..
Definitely ouch. I love cute stuff, but hate the price tag…
